This listing features a lovely Blue Mabe Pearl sterling silver pendant enhancer. The Mabe pearl is irredscent blue with rainbow colors, encased in solid Sterling Silver. The bale is a pendant enhancer (see photo) so it will fit over most any large necklace or pearl. The pendant is rectangle shape with rounded corners and is approximately 12x16mm in size. A very elegant piece.
Mabe pearls are considered semi-spherical cultured pearls that grow against the inside of the oyster shell, rather than inside the body of the oyster as is the case for other cultured pearls. Because they grow on the inside of the oyster shell, they have a flat side instead of being round. They take 2-6 years to grow!
